    The Foundation Stone for Aston Fire Station was laid 26th June 1923. The inscription reads - This Stone was laid by Councillor Cornelius Combridge O.B.E. J.P. Chairman of the Fire Brigade Sub Watch Committee on June 26th 1923. H.H. Humphries M Inst C.E. City Surveyor. A.R. Tozer O.B.E. Chief Officer Fire Brigade. E. Crowder Builder The Fire Station was Officially Opened on Wednesday 19th November 1924. By the Chairman of the Fire Brigade Sub-Committee Councillor Lee J.P. The Opening was moved from the previous day so that the Lord Mayor could attend and present Long Service Medals and Trophies.
