Photographed in 1938 around the time of the Birmingham Pageant to mark the centenary of the granting Birmingham's Charter of Incorporation in 1838. The caption on the back reads 'Breathing out clouds of smoke in true dragon fashion "Egbert" the Pageant monster takes his first outing from the pageant workshops in Cambridge St'.
